The website redesign for African American Breast Cancer Alliance (AABCA) focused on strengthening their online strategy, expanding audience reach, and making it easier for supporters to engage, volunteer, and donate. As a Minneapolis-based nonprofit, AABCA needed a modern site that could clearly communicate their mission, tell their story with impact, and guide visitors toward meaningful action.
The previous website contained important information, but it needed clearer structure, stronger messaging, and more intentional pathways for users to learn, connect, and contribute. The redesign prioritized storytelling, credibility, and conversion-focused UX to help AABCA grow awareness and support for their work.
Key features of the new design:
- Mission-Driven Storytelling: Improved page flow and content structure to clearly communicate AABCA’s purpose, impact, and community role.
- Donation & Engagement Pathways: Clear calls to action that guide visitors to donate, get involved, attend events, or connect with the organization.
- Stronger Information Architecture: Simplified navigation and reorganized content so users can quickly find programs, resources, and next steps.
- Trust & Credibility Signals: A more polished design that supports authority for educational outreach and community support services.
- Mobile-Friendly Experience: Fully responsive layout for supporters and community members accessing the site on phones and tablets.
We began with Zoom calls and discovery discussions to align on vision, audiences, and the most important outcomes for the website. The goal was to tell AABCA’s story more clearly while making it simple for users to take action, whether that meant learning, engaging, or donating.
About AABCA: The African American Breast Cancer Alliance is dedicated to providing hope, awareness, education, emotional and social support to breast cancer survivors, their family members, and the community.
Client Review:
“Corey Gasman, Gasman Design created a beautiful new re-design of our website with a personal touch. Corey gave our website more than we thought we needed and wanted. He laid out a plan, made best practical choices and understood what would work best for our educational and visual outreach that has increased traffic to our website and organization. Corey is easy to communicate and work with as we learned how to increase branding, communication, marketing and visitors to help support our work. Working with Corey has helped us grow! Thanks Corey for your creativity and patience!”
